Pro Clubs skill rating, explained
Skill rating is the number EA ranks clubs by and explains least. Here is what it is, where real clubs sit, and how quickly it actually moves.
Measured hereUpdated 3 August 2026
What it is
Skill rating is a single number EA gives each club, used to order the leaderboards and to decide who you get matched against. It moves with results. EA publishes no formula, and nobody outside EA has one.
EA keeps no history of it
Ask EA for a club and you get today’s skill rating with nothing attached — no yesterday, no last week, no trend. A climb can only be measured by taking a reading, waiting, and taking another. That is the whole reason a climbing board is rare: it needs somebody to have been recording for long enough.
How fast clubs actually move
That is the quickest of every club being tracked here. Most clubs move by nothing at all in the same period.

What it is not
Skill rating is not your division and not your win rate. A club can sit in a high division on a modest rating after a good run, and a club can hold a strong rating while losing — briefly. Over a long enough stretch the two agree, which is the only sense in which skill rating is worth arguing about.
Questions people ask
- What is skill rating in Pro Clubs?
- A single number EA assigns each club, used to order the leaderboards and to match clubs against each other. It moves with results, and EA publishes no formula for it.
- Does EA show skill rating history?
- No. EA returns only the current value, with no history attached. A climb can only be measured by taking readings on different days and comparing them, which is what the climbing board here does.
- How fast can a club climb?
- Far more slowly than people expect. Measured over recent readings, the clubs climbing fastest move by the amounts shown on this page — and most clubs do not move at all in a given week.
